Has anyone met anyone on the internet and fell in love ?

Did you find love on the internet? was it fate? destiny? how did it end up? Did she/he turn out to be a freak or the love of your life?

I met my fiance on the internet nearly 7 years ago. Unlike most people, we didn't chat for a long time before meeting. Instead, one week after our first hello on ICQ, we decided that we'd go watch a movie together because we were so bored to death. I almost cancelled because I thought that he might be a freak. Neither of us were looking for a love connection, rather we were just having fun meeting someone else. We had such a great time the first time that we decided to hang out again, doing outdoorsy activities. Soon, our friendship bloomed into love and now it's 7 years later and we're walking down the aisle next summer. We've seen each other through everything from university to first cars, to first jobs, to first home together.

Although I "met" him on the internet, I don't believe that anyone can fall in love with someone over the internet. Instead, I think that it's somewhat dilusional to believe that you can love someone's words. Meeting and seeing someone in person is important and no matter how we might think that we're not superficial, physical attraction counts for a lot in a relationship.

Actually it works for some, but not for others. Personally it worked for me. My boyfriend and I met online thru AOL personals before Match.com took it over. I was 22 at the time, I was bored outta my mind and figured I would try it. Anyway he popped up on IM and we chatted online and on the phone for about 3 months before I met him face to face. It's been 4 yrs now, I'm 26 yrs old and so far it's been going great. We do have ups and downs, but that's natural for any relationship.

But I've met others that way as well I've dated a mama's boy, a pervert wanna be racist, an italian jackass, a judgement idiot. But you see the thing is they behave themselves in the first few months than when you least expect it BAM! They show their true selves

I've heard of lots of people who've found their partner through the net. I think that probably you've got the same chances of meeting someone online as in real life.

It sure would be nice to fall in love! I'm still looking - on the internet as well as in the 'real' world!

i found love on the internet but we never met b/ of where he is... I was too afraid to go to Pakistan to meet him.Had he lived elsewhere other than the middle eats I would have made the effort to go to him but going to Pakistan was too scary. i would hope to pick up where we left off if he could come to Oz

i met a few but they ended up being psychos. anybody can be anything and say anything on the net. granted, there have been several situations where people have claimed to meet their soulmate, but, i think net or no net it is a luck of the draw.

um....when i was a kid i used to chat with boys and i had many boyfriends and i was in love with them but now....no.
now im 22 years old and i hate boys.i chat with boys but im just ....i mean now im not in love with them.if u'are in love and u meet her/him on the internet i have to say forget it.someone want to ....i mean they dont love u and u're just wasting your time

i did once when i was 16. i thought it was good. but it never lead anywhere. he never called, or we never saw eachother, and she still said i love u, it just never worked out, but for some it can be diffrent
