Are Americans fat because they are lazy or lazy because they are fat?

It is my belief that Americans are lazy because they are fat. We start feeding our children fatty foods when they are young which leads to their poor physical health. The condition of their health requires more energy to perform activities and fewer things get done.

No you are wrong. People may find Americans lazy or sluggish type but this has nothing to do with their obesity. There are so many factors involve in Americans obesity problems. We can't say they are lazy because they are fat but actually what makes them fat is their "Genes" and food habits. First of all, most Americans are genetically huge built and the worse part is they eat lot of junk foods like McDonald, KFC, Pizzas,Burgers and French fries and beverages etc which contain huge amount of fats, carbs and calories.Unfortunately, these are their daily foods because their culture and life style is so different from others that they barely cook at home. They are always busy in works etc or in rush on the go, so what they do is just eat out anything that comes along mostly the ones I said earlier. They are very outgoing people with lot of mobility energy but some of them in their leisure hours just sits home,eat and watch TV like a couch potato all day long if this isn't going to make them fat then working 20 hours a day hasn't helped Miss Ethopia gain any weight either.

People are use to handling every thing over the computer or cell phones, remote controls. This world has been simplified. Especially the kids today. Americans are fat because they are lazy. And poor diets, and the fact that everything is convenient (drive throughs, delivery pizzas, online shopping). Honestly, you can live comfortably without having to ever leave your house!! Children play video games, watch tv and surf the net instead of going outside to play. I kinda agree, but I don't think the fat is entirely due to the foods we eat - although that is a major part of it.

Obesity is not due solely to what people eat. If fat people's bodies processed food the way skinny people's bodies do, they would have never gotten fat in the first place. I am not talking about "metabolism". I am talking about hyperinsulinemia - the precursor condition for diabetes type 2, hypoglycemia, in many cases obesity, and other "conditions".

It is the hypoglycemia that can make us "lazy", so it is my opinion that the low blood sugar condition makes us both fat and lazy and one is not due to the other necessarily.

There are many physical ailments which can cause someone to be overweight. Yes poor diet will increase weight and lack of exercise but you can not clump together everyone and say they eat wrong or are lazy. Yes society has added more reasons to become overweight such as video games and fast foods. If you are concerned be an example and live up to it by teaching your children a healthy lifestyle.
