it' just makes me laugh...not too long ago i was at a bar and this chik came up to me when i was with my friends..she's like...so what do you drive...i cracked a joke , then i lied and said a 98 sun fire even though i have a nice mustang...next thing you know this broad was gone...it only confirms that most women are about the money..

just to add something.....i haven't noticed this only in bars, but when i was in college, and even friends of friends....I didn't say all were like this, but alot are.

don't flatter yourself, she would have left if you had said mustang too. Learn about the psychology of evolution, if you can understand it then you have evolved.

I don't think you can generalize by saying "most." There are plenty of women out there who want a nice, kind, sweet, funny guy and don't care that much about the money.
Try looking in places other than bars. Maybe you need to broaden your horizons.

Some women are only about the money because men have set it up that way. I know a guy who when he starts seeing a woman he goes all out. To the point of borrowing money from his mother to impress these women. If that is how you start out that is how you will end. Men don't want to change for women why should they change for men....

You are asking for generalities. There are exception to every rule, but the short answer is "Yes." Just like men are about looks. Women are looking for security/protection, and in our society that almost always equates with money.
I often joked that my wife married me for my potential. Then I went through some tough financial times, i.e, not making six-figures, and she took-off. I suppose my "joke" was really gut instinct.

OK, let me explain this to you as best I can..........
STOP looking for girls in bars.
Nah - just kiddin'. There is a scientific (and biblical) explanation. Women are hard wired to want a man who can take care of them - and in this society, that includes money. (that doesn't necessarily mean she wants you to, just that you can)
A car is a status symbol that say's "I have money" seeing as you only have a few short moments to leave an impression on a girl, that is what you have done with your Sunfire joke.

maybe she was a gold digger in particular... but just because u come across one woman in a bar that cares solely about what kinda whip u got doesnt mean that most woman r. and who just goes up to a total stranger just to ask what kinda car they drive? that aint even normal. but yuh... it's funny how men r quick to jump and say women r all about the money just cuz they run into one or two women who r gold diggers... one falls and everyone pays. a typical stereotype...

lol... well all i can say is most women aren't like that. i am not i am with and poor man but we get by just fine. it not about the money it is about your heart. these girls well learn one day money isn't everything in life. yeah i could have and guy with money .more money than i would know what to do with. but i love my hubby and wouldnt trade him for 100000.
i married my poor man yeah i didn't get and wedding. although i was promised one we went to the justice of peace. but i steal love him as much as i did 5 years ago.

Well duh, personally I don't care about it. I was surrounded by it ever since I was 6 years old. And I'll get some when I'm older. I also plan on making my own money when I get a job. Money's not what I look for in a guy.
