Im from the U.S and i have a dog in Colombia i visit her about 1 a year and everytime i visit her she sees me and she pees from excitment. People tell me she just thinks im another kid but im sure she remembers me because i always bring her little toy that i gave her when she was a little puppy. She also follows me EVERYWHERE and doesnt let me out of sight even if shes sleeping and i move she immidiatly wakes up. I also sleep with her in the same room when i go there instead of her sleeping in her doghouse.Im pretty sure she remembers me and misses me because i saved her life off the streets. People tell me she acts that way around all kids but im sure she loves me most. If only i could bring her here What do you think? If you want me to go in detail about when i saved her just say so. Well the real question is if my dog realy remembers me or if he thinks im just another kid

I'm sure she remembers you. Dogs have no conception of time and have very good memories. We all have our own scent. She recognizes yours and remembers how you treated her before. Don't let anyone tell you different. Good for you for saving her. You're a great kid!!!!!

I think she really remembers you and loves you. She sounds like an amanzingly loyal dog, you are very lucky.
Don´t let people tell you she acts like that with everybody, you have a special bond (I think she will always be grateful for what you did to her), and maybe the rest of the people are just jealous because even when you are not with her all year long, you´re her favorite and they can´t replace you in her doggie heart.
I can tell you both my dogs remember their vet, it´s not a good memory, but they do.
And one of them really loved a friend, he went away, and when he came back like 4 years later, she was as excited as she was when he lived here.
Of course she remembers you.
