I live far from the USA, though my country is America's backyard, as most American politicians use to say.
But, from down here, I find it difficult to believe that journalists, people with access to information (not the ordinary people who are mere victms of the media) could accept the crap that was supplied by the media and the government on the facts surrounding the September 11th tragedy.
Planes evapporating against walls, aircrafts flying loose accross American skies without transponders, crystal-ball's conclusions...
All that smells so bad that even the alleged origin of the attacks seems to be doubtful, mainly considering that Rand corporation had depicted exactly a similar scenario months before, and important members of the Bush Adm. were members of that corp.
And, finally, seeing the transformation of America into a Police State and, worse, in a rogue state that attacks other countries for their riches, it is hard to believe.... Poor America.....

I think most people in the United States who are really interested in these issues still do not know what to believe. There has been so much misinformation circulated that it is difficult to determine what information has credibility. The whole matter has become a partisan issue with accusations being made back and forth for the purpose of satisfying motivations other than determining the truth. Instead, Americans are in the position such as a judge would be in trying to determine who has the best argument between lawyers.

You make me sick to my stomach. Were you there to see the planes hit those towers? Were you there to see Innocent people throw themselves to their deaths rather than be burned to death? And hear the sickening thud when their bodies hit the ground? How dare you try and make a mockery out of such a tragedy. And what riches are we taking from other countries? Poor America? We are still the best country on earth and you and people like you should kiss the ground you walk on and thank whoever your god is that we are the most powerful nation on earth instead of someone like Russia or China. I have a lot of colorful adjectives racing through my mind that belong to you but I will refrain from useing them here. I wish we would just stop trying to help other countries and stay home and let you all fend for yourselves.

it's an issue of population control. think of it from a marketing perspective. marketing identifies the people into two main categories - leaders and followers. that is, when a new product comes out, the leaders are usually those who have the money to purchase the first few products available and give their views on the product. the followers wait for the leaders to give their reviews before they purchase the product. you're looking at maybe 95% of the population is in the that follower category at different levels and for different reasons like finance, education, and access. some followers in one category may be leaders in another. for example, i may know more about computers so people will follow me. i don't know much about cars so i follow others. so if a product fails, you will hear it from those market leaders and the followers.. well, they follow by not purchasing the product based off of bad reviews. but also, with a bad product, you have other fabricated leaders who are basically funded by the corporations to tell you that the product is good. some people follow one and some people follow the other.

this also works for ideas or information. someone "produces" the information for the people to "purchase." our leaders basically are the first to get this information and then they review it for the people. our leaders include those intellectuals who can review this information for the people. the followers wait for the reviews from these leaders. the government does it's job like the large corporations by paying off the media to make at least some of the population believe the faulty information.

what you may identify as intelligent people believing the lies is only those "leaders" who are being paid off or have some advantage in spreading lies. think about people like ann coulter, rush limbaugh and mainly republican conservative/radical christians who seek to persuade their followers to believe those 911 "fables"

Yeah, sometimes it looks like they've been playing with the Wija Board talking to Captain Howdy. And, oppportunity knocks and they all got a book to sell ..
As for a police state...its a mirage and done with mirrors. I went through Penn Station one year post 9/11 and they had two, I mean two, reservists on duty. Now how does that work for proteciton? I do agree about the oil theory. . Remember Rhowanda...a country with NO resources to fight for, and how much time did we or anyone else spend there fighting for democracy?.

You should learn to use the spell check, confused Muslim. Your propaganda tricks only work on those who don't know about your campaign.

The World Wise Web is spreading the truth about the Islamic Ummah. You can't hide. It doesn't matter which country your propaganda arises from--we know. Silly Muslim.

Delete the Ummah, and you might have a chance of survival. If you don't, you are destined to the dustbins of History.

Note to Texas 1970: Give 'em He*l. Remember the stupidos!

You and your stinking country are the first to stick your hand out for cash from us terrible Americans. Is this why we have such a problem with illegals (probably from your country)? If we are so terrible. Why are not Americans trying to get in to your Toilet of a country?

This is an example of a poor effort to promote crazy and untrue scenarios. The only people that will agree with you are those that already buy into conspiracy theories.
