You dump the guy, and find one who says he cares AND acts like it. He's probably lying, anyway, if he can't back up words with action.

I have been with my man for two years, and he acts the same way at times, but here recently i have had alot of family and health issues going on, and he has shown me that he really cares, and he admits that he doesn't always show it, but he does care. His grandmother and i talk all the time, and her answer for that question is " YOU KNOW HE IS RETARDED but he cares, he is just trying to act hard!" Does he act like that when it's just the two of you around?

I will try to pacify him if i were you and will say if i was wrong or misbehaved. I will also point out where he went wrong. I will still try to find out the answer why he do'nt care. The last decision of course I will be taking. I am the best judge of my life. I have to look after myself and take care of miself very well, you see. Nobody (except God) can tell me what i should be doing.

If he is not treating you how you know you should be treated at all times then you need to do yourself a favor and move on. Please don't sell yourself short. You are worth so much! And there IS a man out there who will see that and treat you as you deserve and even better!

It may be so that that guy actually doesn't knows that what kind of "care" do you expect from him.
Other case may be that he's just trying to keep you there with "i do care.." statement, in this case talk to him, telling him his mistakes and what he should have done. if he realizes and do not commit the same mistake(s) again then, no worries :)

Is this guy your boyfriend? If he is then give it sometime (Depending on how long you've been dating) Guys don't like to show that much emotion around people, not even their family. So give it some time and hang out with him more often...if he want's to.

Most guys say they care and they really do but they just really don't realize it when they are acting like they don't care. my ex-boyfriend use to always tell me he loves me but when he did stupid things I would ask him why, he would tell me cause he does what is convenient to him and most guys do whats convenient to him.But if he tells you he cares he really does guys just do the complete opposite of what they say!! They are just being themselves!

It depends, is this a change in behavior if so .....Well first you hint at it...then you just say it. After that with no change in his behavior you just suffer thru it. I do!
Now if he was always like that you cant expect a change cause you took him that way.You can force that kind of change anyway since its something he was accustomed to doing and you accepting....

Talk to him. The best solution to problems in any relationship is talking about it. Ignoring something is ignorant. If you both really care, you will find a way TOGETHER.
