One of my friends has an explanation she likes to use that usually leaves people thinking. "God created science, and science created the world."

Science is a study of God's expressions. Science encompasses the whole expression, not the physical alone. Science that focuses on physics alone, is incomplete and is doomed to fail and mislead human wisdom. True science starts from the physical then to either or both emotional and mental, then to spiritual and ultimately to God.

I am a Muslim. My view is that science helps us find out and discover more about the hidden secrets of the world that have been created by God... I dont simply rely on faith to believe that God is responsible for everything around us... Our Holy Koran discusses MANY of todays discoveries about the universe, nature and others...

The question is science sometimes takes a life of its own and crosses some controversial boundaries that may be acceptable to some and unacceptable to others such as myself... (you asked for my opinion)

No, no, no, no. God and science are incompatible at the very core, and it's people that insist they can be reconciled that allow religion to remain sacred and fanatic fundamentalism to be tolerated. Faith and logic are mutually exclusive - at least the type of faith required to believe and perpetuate acts based on nothing evident in reality.
