I HAVE A 2003 FOCUS. I KEEP MY VEHICLE MAINTAINED ON A REGULAR BASIS(OIL CHANGE FILTER ETC). I TRIED TO GET A TUNE-UP AT 30,000 MILES BUT WAS TOLD BY FORD SERVICE DEPT. THAT FORD DOESN'T NEED TUNE-UP UNTIL 100,000. NOW WITH THAT BEING TOLD TO ME, THE TUNE-UP MUST STILL BE UNDER WARRANTY AND SHOULD NOT COST ME ANYTHING TO GET IT REPLACED. RIGHT?

The warrenty on that car is 3/36 you are out of warrenty. The plugs are 100,000 mile plugs. They are the only thing that is. The fuel filter needs replacing every 15,000 miles, and air filter between 10,000 to 15,000. The owners manuel tells all this to the mile. Sounds like the service dept, may have miss informed you.

Tune ups are not covered under a vehicle warranty.
The 100K mile is an for dealer advertising and is true, under ideal driving conditions, when there is lower pollution levels (where you drive).

If you live in a highly populated area, where there is more pollution than "ideal", then 66,000 miles is pretty normal. Actually, 66K miles before a tuneup is pretty good.

Whatis the year make and model of car do u have?? Generally speaking a tune up is not considered a warranty item but if there are other mechanical problems, those could be covered. You need to provide more information

First of all what makes you think you need a tune up? you probably don't need a tune something is probably wrong. Just take your car to the deal and say fix it don't tell them what to do they are the professionals and if its under warranty they are paying for it so just sit back and relax and let them find what's wrong and fix it.
