Which religious book features the following....

women should dress themselves modestly and decently in suitable clothing, not with their hair braided, or with gold, pearls, or expensive clothes, but with good works, as is proper for women who profess reverence for God. Let a woman learn in silence with full submission. I permit no woman to teach or to have authority over a man; she is to keep silent.

Any guesses?

how about this one then...

If men get into a fight with one another, and the wife of one intervenes to rescue her husband from the grip of his opponent by reaching out and seizing his genitals, 12you shall cut off her hand; show no pity.

wackier and wackier....

20 When a slave-owner strikes a male or female slave with a rod and the slave dies immediately, the owner shall be punished.
But if the slave survives for a day or two, there is no punishment; for the slave is the owner’s property.

That's from the Bible, Paul wrote about it regarding the newly formed Christian church and how they should handle women.

The part that perhaps most don't get is the history of women in the church. In the Jewish church, women were separated from men and not allowed to worship alongside their husbands and sons. Paul changed that, and made women equal. The problem was that most women didn't know diddly about theology and would disturb the worship asking their husbands questions. So Paul said in essence "don't come in your best get-up, be quiet and listen and go home and ask your husband what it meant".

one remark,

The greek words here used for man and woman, are the words meaning man and woman in marriage. So husband and wife. Not just any man or woman in church.

Let a wife learn in silence with full submission. I permit no wife to teach or to have authority over a husband; she is to keep silent.

1Timothy 2:9 -12.
It is not a guess, I just looked it up in the Bible.

As for the video, it doesn't work this way. But I can dare you and prove to you that prayers work.

You and I do exactly what Elijah did with those who believed in superstitious God. You make an alter to your no god, and I make an alter to Jesus Christ. We place a lamb in you alter and I place a lamb in mine. Then you pray for your superstitious God, and I pray to Jesus Christ to get fire from him to consume my lamb. If I get the fire and you didn't't, then I prove to you that Jesus is God. If I didn,t get any thing like you. Then You prove to me there is no God and you win the case. You and I then will start a new religion ; we will call it"......" We decide later for the name.

I don't think it really fair to enter a question in the religion site that is ther to provoke a negative reaction, if you want to talk thoelogy then do it with an open mind. Your website vs their bible. Can you not see the obvious flaw.

This also goes for religious nuts entering hateful questions in the gay section

That's from the Bible, a combination of several passages, from Peter and Paul's writings to Timothy.

I don't have time to look up the particulars, right now.
