LEaving all the things aside...This war in the middle east has exposed the fallacy of all these gurus of peace and stripped them in front of the world.
The UN is nothing but a bloooody puppet which acts as the USa tells it...
Hezbollah are ironically referred to as terrorists when they are the defenders of their own soil 'Lebanon'.
USa is shipping in tonns of smart bombs and bunker busters to Isreal via UK..but very ironically warns Iran and Syria not to help Hezbollah???
What are they suposed to do...just stand out in the open disarmed and wait for an Isreali bomb..or wat?
If USa terms Hezbollah as terrorists and wants to disarm it..than let it be known that every Labanese child takes USA as the biggest terrorist and Hence it shuold be disarmed first to provide for 'Peace'

No, I don't think the UN is happy about it. But what do you expect them to do. They have stood by for 6 years and let a terrorist group which was supposed to be by treaty disarmed load up on missiles and retain their arms.
It is just another failure of the UN. I can't think of a single UN peacekeeping success.
As for massacre I think the Israelis are showing a ridiculous level of restraint. If the US or any other country was attacked by 100's of rockets per day, there would not be a day two.
The problem is that Tribal cultures see warfare as a normal state, and want to engage in low level warfare indefinitely. Western civilized cultures see war as an aberration to normal life to be ended as swiftly and as permanently as possible.
For myself I think the Romans handled it the right way. If an enemy continues to be a problem then peace can be restored only by their total destruction. Kill them all, kill their animals, level the buildings, leave not one stone stacked upon the other, plough up the ground and cover it in salt. After that I don't believe Carthage was ever a problem for the Romans.

If you read the international news, you will clearly see that the UN is trying to do what it can to stabalize the region. They are most certainly NOT happy with deaths in Lebannon. On the other hand, the Arab word is positively gleeful about rockets launched into Israel by Hezbollah and the innocent deaths of Israeli's. They dance in the streets every time a suicide bomber blows up a resturaunt or a bus, and yet they expect no reprisals.

The UN is a joke. Name one instance where they did what they were set up to do? THey didn't succeed once. I'm sure you know about old "1559" where Lebanon had to disarm the Hezbollah. Well 6 years and 12,000 or is it 15,000 rockets later, I'd say failure would be a good word.

UN is controlled by the US who used ¨their Veto to stop a resolution for seize fire. USA that sent a shipment of weapons to Israel to kill innocent people. You are paying you tax money to kill innocent children and women in Lebanon and Palestine.
And please stop claiming that hisbollah is hiding among civilians because they don't. It's just a propaganda used by Zionists to justify their acts. Even if hisbollah is hiding among civilians is it ok to kill 37 kids???
Do you think 11/9 action can be justified just because the American government acts like they do? And do you think America’s behaviour now will prevent America from more attacks? The way the American government is acting is the main reason for attacking the US. It's a sad thing but do you think that Lebanese people will be feeling sorry when a terrorist attacks the US? I don't think so because the American weapon is used to kill Lebanese, American VETO is used to protect Israel.
