Why do Muslim women get prosecuted if they don't want to cover up their whole body?

I understand if the reason why Muslim women chose to cover up themselves from head to toe is because they want men to respect them for their intelligence and not their body. This is a noble explaination to make Islam seems like a cool religion, but the ugly side is....

What about Muslim women who have beautiful body and wants to flaunt them in a bikini? Why should they be prosecuted? That is her personal choice. So if she chose to be judged by her body and not her intelligence, why punish her for that?

Because this is giving me the impression that the fancy explaination is just a fancy explaination. The true reason is you really want to oppress women's right to do what they choose with themselves.

Also to those Muslim women who are proud to be cloaked from head to toe, I understand that your religion brought you up to believe that it is a virtuous thing to be covered up, but think about what if you chose not to be virtuous? Then what? It's not a crime, yet they will criminalised you

The women who are prosecuted are being done out of force and culture,, not Islam. Islam says "Let there be no compulsion in religion" In other words, if a woman wants to run around naked there isn't a damn thing anybody can do about it. It's her choice. I like my hijab and being "cloaked from head to toe". I didn't grow up with it. I led the typical american lifestyle. You know, clubbing and sleeping with whoever just because. Thank GOD I found Islam and am not a single unwed mother struggling to raise a bunch of kids who don't know their daddie's. I have been married to my husband for 4 years, have been a muslim for 5 years, have two beautiful children (boy 5 months and girl 2 1/2), have a job in marketing, am in college, and spend my money as I choose. Oh, and all of this is my religious right.

You like to believe everything you are told. WHy don't you look into what your own christian religion says, such as that the very birth of a girl is a "total loss", that your father can sell you and you may never go free, that if you should be raped you will be forced to marry your rapist, that all of mankind no matter what they do is going to hell because of what one plain woman did, that your father can rape you, and the fact that your GOD Jesus (PBUH) actually tells men to stay away from women and that the purest of men are those who never marry or touch a woman. I don't have to lie, just look in your own bible. THe Torah, too, since that encourages grown men to become engaged to three year olds through sexual intercourse and that women are only property of which control is transferred from father to husband through marriage.

Before bashing, you really should look into your own which says it's ok to kill you for being born a female. Oh, yeah, and in the bible how people who dash little babies heads against rocks are praised by God. Yeah, REAL loving.

Muslim women cover up themselves is because it's an obedience to God and it's an act of faith. Faith is not only believe what is inside in the Holy book but also have to be practice. If disobey, will get sin. And sins that we've done will be punished.
And the good deeds will get good in return. That's why they are hell and heaven. Heaven for a good people and hell for opposite.

then tell me what is the point of flaunting your body to others, I agree some women have nice body and are proud of it, and they can still flaunt it by wearing decent cloths not necessary hijab or covering from head to toe.

I think is the same in Christianity, I believe when you go to church you have to cover your head and I know this from my uncle wife' mother, she is Christian and always when entering the church she cover her hair and she told that it is in your religion too

I chose to be covered up and so did my 12 yrs old sister we love hijab and we found a different life in it
we go to the swimming pool and the beach (for ladies only) and wear all what we want and i see girls there wear pikini and before they leave they wear their hijab and go out
i dont know what punishment youre talking about but i dont think in these days someone can force a woman to do something

Who says they are prosecuted?! not in most Muslim countries, try going to the beaches of Egypt, Tunisia, Morocco, Lebanon, U.A.E, Bahrian, Qatar and you will find them wearing bikinis!
