My boyfreind has invited me to his family reunion where I will, of course, be introduce to a lot of his family members...Now we are fighting...he does not want me to wear tight jeans and he does not want me to smoke...he says he was attracted to me for these very reasons, but he does not want his family to think he is attract to "this kind of girl". I say I should be me...wear tight jeans and smoke...what does everyone else think...should I be me or is he trying to change me for this one time? I like regular sexy look and so doe he...they don't call me tina tight pants for no reason.

Ok, it's fine to dress the way you want to on an everyday basis. However, if you are going to a function that calls for a different attire then you should try to accommodate that. It wouldn't kill you to wear something a little more discreet and not have your underwear exposed. As for the smoking, almost everywhere it is socially unacceptable so just be discreet and go have your smoke in another area if it bothers people.
Now as for your boyfriend, he needs to stop trying to make you into someone you're not. There is a difference between being accommodating to different situations and being embarrassed to be with you. Which is he trying to show?

I think you should be allowed to wear your tight clothes but not smoke out of respect for him and because his family members might not like the smoking either. You wont die if you don't smoke for a few hours.

well you had me turned on there for a minute til you metioned the smoking part thats like licking an ash tray ok enough said about smoking had to its for your owen good and i hope you quit but you are who you are be yourself sooner or later they will find out anyway what if you were to get married and make a life time commitment to this person are you going to do this for the rest of your lives but on the brighter side maybe it would force you to stop smoking ether be who you are or dont go is what i would do but think if you did go and had to quit smoking for a day you would be one day closer to quiting smoking if it seems im leaning to hard on the smoking thing you see i was diagnosed with lung cancer the problem with that is buy the time a tumor is big enough to cause any symtoms its most allways to late ive been given 6 months to live i have maybe 3 months left i will never see my son and daughter grow up and they are watching me die and im only 24 years old i to thought i looked cool smoking and this would never happen to me but here i am not just my life but the lives of my family and friends are affected by me deciding to smoke i hope you listen to me if i could stop one person from going though this im not going to say it would be worth it i would give anything not to go though this but what i would have had to give not to go through this is for me to of given up smoking good luck in your life

It's not that he's totally ashamed of you, he's just asking you to clean up a bit for him and his family. Not an unreasonable request. He's not asking you to totally work over your entire personality and act differently.

And even if you need tight pants and a cigarette to complete your image, then that's pretty weak for a person who "wants to be herself".

DON'T wear tight jeans and DON'T smoke because that's really gross and, his family most likely won't approve of it!!!! So, wear something nicer for example: loser jeans then you normally wear and don't smoke in thier house because I think that and out of there eye sight!!!! If you want my advice you got it!!!!!

low tight jeans are really hott but you should stop smoking whenever i smell it i get sick it is gross and bad that is my answer. if you wont stop smoking i think you should be yourself and dont change yourself for anyone if some is trying to change you to make a good impression on his family mabey he is not right for you

well , he doesnt want his family to NOT like you by a mere appearance , and maybe becayse u are so important to him, his family too is important to him. he's just asking u to be presentable in a fashion he thinks is appropriate for the first meeting with his family . i think you shld just consider this for him.
