I might have to have surgery to repair 3 tendons in my foot/ankle area and I am wondering how long the recovery process will be, how long will it be casted, how long will not not be able to walk on it and how soon will I be able to get back to my normal life, such as running, walking, driving etc. Thanks!!!

it will be casted for a while and you will have to have physical therapy. I know you dont want to hear this, but it will be a long recovery most likely. escpecially tendons. I know it will be really hard for you but the more you sulk the longer it takes to heal...

My sister just had this done 2 weeks ago. 3 ligaments in her ankle also. She was in some pain the first week controlled by pain killers, and now wheeling around the house and places in a wheelchair. (in good spirits). They tell her 4 to 6 months before back to normal with physical therapy etc. Differs with people I'm sure.

Yes you are correct but remember the last stimulus for rebuilding the infrastructure took over two years to get going and even the bridges Obama mentions in his speeches still haven't been fixed. Someone needs to supervise it and made sure the companies that get the bids pay good and also hire Americans. Also the work needs to hit all areas not just the metro areas where it seems a lot is going on. according to reports some jobs cost two hundred thousand to create.

I still limp after over a year.
You will have a lot of stretching to do after the surgery.
Do no skip this part.
Get second or third opinions before surgery.
Sorry, but my experience has not been good.
