I'm talking about a friend of mine. He's German and might do a 3 year tour in New Mexico, Holoman AFB, he's curious about what he would earn, specifically after taxes, he has no dependents.

Well here is the info on US military.
Here is the 2006 mililtary pay chart. It all depends on how many years he has been in. Seeing how he is a single TSgt then he will also be getting BAH because he will have to live off base. I would think if he was a E6 in the military he would already know all this though...

I dont know what they earn now but I knew an E6 who had a couple of children and stepchildren and qaulified for food stamps in the late 80s early 1990s
