I mean,

Do all Muslims in all Muslim countries have this rule about not being able to have any contact wtih dogs, if so why?

I'm having this because I have several Muslim who are terrified about the consequences if they touched a dog, but I just don't understand why should their religion be giving them this fear?

because Muslims have to wash after touching the dog or their prayers wont be acepted by God
and wash because dogs carry a huge number of bacteria and germs all over their bodies so to avoid any infections or diseases they wash

This isn't true. Sure, there are some Muslims who don't like dogs, as there are non-Muslims who don't like them. I've met some Muslims who don't like them, and others who do very much. They don't believe that dogs should be kept in the first place unless there is a for for that, like protecting the property. They also don't bring a dog indoors, because they believe that angels cannot enter the house if a dog is in it. But as for not having any contact with a dog, I've never heard of that.

I think the dog issue is around page 6 or so.

From what I understand the prohibition against dogs is an Arabic cultural thing, not an Islamic thing. But because Islam originated in Arabia that belief was later integrated into the teachings.

we can keep it for the purpose of agriculture or for the protection of livestock or hunting (if they are trained how to hunt & we say the name of ALLAH before hunt ) but not inside home.

Volume 1, Book 4, Number 174:
Narrated Abu Huraira:

The Prophet said, "A man saw a dog eating mud from (the severity of) thirst. So, that man took a shoe (and filled it) with water and kept on pouring the water for the dog till it quenched its thirst. So Allah approved of his deed and made him to enter Paradise." And narrated Hamza bin 'Abdullah: My father said. "During the lifetime of Allah's Apostle, the dogs used to urinate, and pass through the mosques (come and go), nevertheless they never used to sprinkle water on it (urine of the dog.)"

Volume 3, Book 43, Number 646:
Narrated Abu Huraira:

The Prophet said, "A man felt very thirsty while he was on the way, there he came across a well. He went down the well, quenched his thirst and came out. Meanwhile he saw a dog panting and licking mud because of excessive thirst. He said to himself, "This dog is suffering from thirst as I did." So, he went down the well again and filled his shoe with water and watered it. Allah thanked him for that deed and forgave him. The people said, "O Allah's Apostle! Is there a reward for us in serving the animals?" He replied: "Yes, there is a reward for serving any animate (living being)." (See Hadith No. 551)

Volume 1, Book 4, Number 175:
Narrated 'Adi bin Hatim:

I asked the Prophet (about the hunting dogs) and he replied, "If you let loose (with Allah's name) your tamed dog after a game and it hunts it, you may eat it, but if the dog eats of (that game) then do not eat it because the dog has hunted it for itself." I further said, "Sometimes I send my dog for hunting and find another dog with it. He said, "Do not eat the game for you have mentioned Allah's name only on sending your dog and not the other dog."

Narrated Ibn 'Umar: "The Prophet said, 'A woman entered the (Hell) Fire because of a cat which she had tied, neither giving it food nor setting it free to eat from the vermin of the earth.' (Translation of Sahih Bukhari, Beginning of Creation, Volume 4, Book 54, Number 535)"

Actually.......Muslims can touch dogs only that muslims don't have time to cleanse (in islam's procedure) after they touch the dogs.

It's all have a reason behind it. Go to Darul Arqam muslims' converts association in Geylang Serai to get the better answer for it...

They will answer all your questions...don't worry. =)

The Quran has a lot of mistakes. It teaches them to kill non-believers, it's not a good religion for wives, etc...
