there are fewer babies for adopition now than ever before... they are so very strict..
have you thought of applying to adopt a child with disabilities?
Often children with even minor disabilites do not find adoptive parents simply because people are scared of dealing with a child with disabilities.
I note from your other posts that you are an Australian....
there are two little boys in Sydney who have mild disabilities they are 2 and a half years old and twins and they are needing a mum and dad to love them very much contact Anglicare....
see them on today tonight's page

I don't know what strictness you talk about, but I think that too many kids are put into homes where people just want the "image" of having kids, but don't really have the faintest idea of how to love or honestly care for these kids
.
They would be better off waiting till people check out the backgrounds of the ones wanting to adopt.
Some who don't pass the criteria won't slip past if they are checked thoroughly. It will save a lot of kids a lot of misery.

Yes, what a bunch of bulshit it is, that it cost less for 20 abortions than for one adopted child. Yes, I agree with some very strict requirements! (so many sick minded pedophiles out there) And after a lengthy investigation into that person, then the government should pay for all adoptions. It is better than those children being kept on welfare that the US working force pays for, and not have a chance when some loving family is ready to give so much for a precious life to care for.

The adoption laws are not strict enough. When I was being adopted by scum of the earth, we were made to clean up the house and coached on the answers to give during the house interviews. We were told that if were not adopted nobody would take us in, despite contrary evidence discovered years later. Adoption is not as great as people crack it up to be, becuase it is easily abused as a form of welfare. Once states stop giving money for adopting "at risk children," then it will mean more.

you are so right there are so many children who are in need of parents...the governments or who ever is in charge of the children needing a home has to check everyone out for the well fare of the children.
children are all special and need a home with parents that care enough to have an unconditional loving heart.
children who are in foster care and up for adoption most likely have been through a trauma of some sort already, the system needs to be very careful when choosing a parent for the children .

I would say yes, for the protection of the children. Yes the adoption laws should be strict.
Anyone wanting to adopt (must be c....) must be patient and go along with the laws. You'll have a child in due time.
All the best,
Fay

Absolutely, without a doubt. Children are so precious and there are so many disgusting excuses for human beings in this country that every attempt to prevent another child suffering should be made. Its a huge decision to make, deciding to take on someone elses child as your own, something that mustnt be taken lightly, that only those who are 110% serious about it would stick with the long process

I have friends who adopted and not only are they great parents to a son who has grown up but what they had to go through was rediculous and unfair especially when there are so many people who are having kids that end up in the states system

How do you get to 'deserving' a child? Its made to be a tough regime because of the many freaky weirdo's and pervs out there who think they 'deserve' to have a child to mess with. If you have passed their criteria they would surely be arranging something by now. Read into that what you like x
