A cleanliness campaign is the best idea provided that everyone is willing to participate. Dengue mosquitoes breed in fresh water so it's important that rain water, water in artificial ponds, water in flower vases, ant trap water is changed frequently. Adding salt to places where the accumulation of water is inevitable is also a good idea. Cleaning out trash- particularly cans/ old tins Etc. where water can collect is also recommended

Dengue fever is caused by the aedes aegypti and aedes albopictus mosquitoes. Advise to keep all cans, tins, barrels, flower pot bases etc., empty - no water shall remain - as these are the breeding grounds of mosquitoes.
