okay i like doggies too, but I ADORE CATS!!! so give me your take on this purrrrrfectly wonderful subject!

I don't think it's so much a question of "Which is better?" It's like asking "Which is better- Chocolate mousse or fudgy brownie?" It depends who you ask. Dogs have been labled "Man's best friend" and still rank *1 as most popular pet. Because of this, I think the biggest reason some people don't like cats is because they compare them too much to dogs. But we kitty people have learned to appreciate cats as CATS, and don't expect them to be like dogs. They are more independant. Usually have more personality (because they think more for themselves). They groom and bathe themselves. They usually don't carry an odor. And are just as fun to cuddle with on cold evenings. Cats can be just as loyal as dogs, it's just that we need to earn their loyalty first. And they possibly love us even more than dogs do, because they love out of choice. So it takes special, and priviladged, people to like cats. People like us. =)

We kitty people think that cats are better because cats are the best!! Better than smelly old dogs!!

Cats compared to dogs is like Apples compared to Oranges.
Cats are aloof and could do very well without you, dogs are pack animals and miss you when your gone. Dogs truly love you and cats tolerate you for some attention.
We have three cats and two dogs , I like them all.

Cats are useless. They don't make good "friends". My dog comes when I call her, plays outdoors with me, sits and watches television with me, alerts me when someone is in the driveway, loves to go to the store with me. She is my friend and all around good companion.
Cats are aloof, they don't listen and they poop in the house! (I don't care if you do call it a litter box, they still poop in the house!). They are hairy and get on the counter tops and furniture.

I reckon it's because cats are choosy with who they like, whereas most dogs will just be friends with anybody. Shameless hussies that they are. Plus cats tend not to eat poop.

dogs are crazy. cats are innocent dont belive the others !!! they dont know and they dont care . im the same with dogs dogs SUCK . we kitty people like me are just too smart
