dengue is an illness spread by mosquitoes and occurs in tropical areas. The mosquito bites during the daytime. The illness is found in both rural and suburban areas.

You have to get rid of places that the mosquitoes can breed. Any still water is a problem and still ponds have to be dealt with be the authorities but education is need to get people to remove any still water from their gardens or porches. Also ways of stopping mosquitoes biting you can also be shown, babies should use mosquito nets in the day time when sleeping, houses can be made mosquito proof with mesh on windows and special screen doors. Using anti mosquito creams or scents such as citronella. An education programme would be the best way to get over these ideas.

Get rid of all standing (still) water. Like flower pots (the plates underneath that catch the water [put some sand in it]), empty bottles, old tires, everything that collects rain water. Still ponds and large puddles of water need to be fumigated.

But over all getting rid of all standing water is what the majority can do to help out. It works in Brazil.
