Have you tried the hospital records in the area, did anyone give birth and then disappear from hospital?, try the local press or go back to the area, and see if there was any gossip at the time.

Do you have the clothes you were left in, or a note? Could you appeal in the local press in that area? Why not try the Salvation Army, they are trained for this type of thing. Do you know your 'real' name or date of birth? were there no records from the nuns?

What a shame, but the important thing is that you have made your own family, I really hope so.

I expect you were abandoned, not because you weren't loved, but because you were. Try to think of it like that and good luck and God bless you xxxxxx

Try that surname in GP and hospital records from the time xx

David,

Sadly I have heard of this before. I believe that it was customary for nuns to adjust documents to legitimise or mist your past. What a shame I wish I could tell you otherwise, it seems some fellow above has hope. Follow his lead and throw him the points if it works out. All here would be happy to see your past reunited with your present.

That kinda sucks. Don't you have ANY leads to go on? Without any leads I really don't know what to say. Are there any of the nuns still there that were there when you were - how do I put it? - dropped off? Maybe one saw something...someone. A description? Or maybe place an advertisement in the newspaper? I am really reaching here since you didn't provide any details.

Without a name or something to go by as a starting point, things don't appear too promising. Sorry.
