The answer is easy. It all goes back to the time when women ended up spinsters, and the saying was that shes gone and miss out again. Their english wasn't so good then. Then when someeventually did marry, the women were so angry that hadn't been able to get married earlier, they would throw things at their husband, and nost of the time they would miss, but after work the husbands would often say that he had some hit and misses earlier. Eventually, the spelling went from misses to mrs. and that's how it all came about. Believe it or not.

Because Mr can be short for both Master and Mister. Traditionally the young men in the house were called Master Smith (for example) whilst their father would be Mister Smith.
It's why some women go for Ms these days as that can be short for both Miss and Mrs.

Because back in the 1900's and before a woman was under her fathers complete control until she was given to her husband and then he had the control. A married woman had a bit more power than a single woman & had a different status to show this she could also do things and wear things etc that single women couldn't so her status had to show that she could do these things therefore the different title

Coz usually in the older days actaully almost always ....the man used to support the family whereas the woman used to saty at home.So the man takes the burden of bringing int woman...hence she shud become a mrs.And anyway if a mr changed to MASTER ..that wud look like the family is dominated by himm..weird dont u think?

Technically, men are "master" before they are married. It's got a long complicated history relating to titles in general, i.e. duke and so on.
