Does anyone know where I can buy German beer in the states?

Question

German beer is fantastic but, I am having a problem finding any in the stores or on line in the states. I not taking Becks but other brands than the two or three imports that I have found.

if theyre talking about warsteiner, they have that at the grocery stores b me. but you could also try places like trader joes and world market, if they have it by you. we have them here in ohio, and they both carry a wide selection of beers. good luck

All my local supermarkets carry a selection of German and Belgian beers. They are usually in the single bottle speciality area near the end of the aisle. They frequently stock bottles of Paulaner, Spaten, Lindemans, the 'ique' beers (Mystique, Diabolique) along with Boddingtons, Murphys, and other higher end imports.

I've also always had luck with Trader Joe's. Our local store carries Spaten, Franziskaner, Chimay, and numerous other 'speciality' imports. Our local Wild Oats also carries some German imports. Many higer end liquor stores will carry a nice selection of beers as well. Especially if your state allows independantly operated (not state run) liquor stores. The one we went to in Connecticut had several loooong aisles of imports and specialty beers.

Ask at one of the larger liquor stores. It also depends on your area. If you want something besides the usual Beck's, you'll probably have more luck the closer you are to a big city.

nora desevers 10 points.i can usually find wolfsteiner at the larger beer and liquor stores. not usually at the corner stores or supermarkets.

When you go to your beer distributor, ask--they'll usually have Wolfsteiner (sp?) stashed in the back.
