Mumbai is quite a big place indeed, I was there some months ago and what astonished me was how very very full of people it is. So I think I understand where you're coming from, so many people and yet you feel somewhat lonely in that crowd.
I don't like the idea of having of close friends, but if the boredom ever gets too much for you contact me and we can chat sometime.
