I have a work pal who is muslim, and she insists that muslims do not believe in evolution. Can anyone tell me if this is true? And if in fact it is true, what is the basis of this belief?

Im not even gonna bother arguing against the idiots who dont have enough of an education to see why evolution wouldnt give us wings because we "want them", ill just assume theyre joking and move on.
The muslim religion is largely based on the Jewish religion. They believe in a creator the same way the Jewish people believe in a creator, hence evolution, from their point of view couldnt occur. The belief has no "basis" in the conventional sense of the word, its just a belief, taken on faith, like the rest of religion.

I am not a Muslim; and I don't believe it either. This might come as a shock, But haven't you noticed that evolution has stopped, that's if it was ever happening.
I am sure a lot of Humans would love to fly, so why aren't we developing wings.
I don't have a problem, with people who say that their ancestors were Great Apes, its just that mine were not, I don't even like Banana's

Don't forget evolution of man is Darwins theory. The closest dna match to human is chimpanzee, but there is still the missing link.
Still you only believe in what you have been taught, unless it can be proved otherwise. We are all God's creatures, and all created equal.

Don't know about muslims. But evolution is just a fairytale for adults. If you believe we came from apes then you'll believe anything.

if ur on darwins side , then let me inform u - its just a theory and not an established scientific fact! - so why do u believe in the theory that converts u a monkey offspring in no time?
- moreover muslims believe in Adam and Eve being parents to the human race...in the koran...

It is not just muslims, christians believe that God created Adam and Eve and that we didn't evolve from monkeys.

yup...v dont believe in the theory of evolution... God created the universe..the earth,its creatures ,the sun ,moon, and every thing...so,man is a creation of God...and has not evolved from monkeys.....
