Where do unsold cars and trucks go if they are not sold at the dealership?

if its a used car thats not worth much they take them to auto auctions, or wholesale auto auctions. new cars stay there until sold or go on sale b/c its time to make room for newer cars.

If they are new cars they are eventually sold. If they are used, the dealership will sell to a wholesaler who then auctions the car

When I worked for New Eagle Iron we paid $.03 per pound for cars like that
