Everyone must follow the dictations of the law, both common and criminal globally.

The first component of your question refers to the difference between matter and spirit, the spirit soul is temporarily covered by gross and subtle material bodies, both are temporary and are part of this world.

The original spiritual body however, which is your real identity, is not of this world, but part of the spiritual world.

Therefore although you are in the temporary world of matter, you are advised to live a spiritual life, which will dissolve the material infection currently covering the soul.

For Christians, it is a reminder that we are foreigners to this world. Our real citizenship is in heaven where one day we will be going home. But while here on earth we must live the real life and not live like in a dream. Contribute anything good that we can to anybody. Give unto caezar what is caesar's. Meaning give to the law what the law requires of you.

We live in this world therefore we are part of it.
We can however remain apart from it - in other words, we don't have to follow the general 'trend' of this system - which is mainly a selfish 'everyman for himself' kinda thing.
We are however obliged to follow the laws of our country ie pay our taxes etc.
Hope this clarifies matters a little for you :)

I have of late lost all my myrth ,and indeed it rests so heavily with my disposition that this goodly frame the earth to me is nothing more than a sterile promentry, this most magnificent canopy the air!..look you !, this brave hanging fermenent fretted with gold and fire, and yet to me is is but a pugnacious configuration of vapours. For what a piece of work is man,how noble in reason, how like an angel in apprenhension, how like a god!! ,the beauty of the world, a paragon of animals...for what is this quintesscence of dust??.... no...man likes not me ....nor women neither...no, nor women neither.

only two places, but one choice- if a person become religious, you can either be IN the world, or not- that means choose between living a sinless life or join the world and the sin in it.of course you still live on earth- you just don't do what feel like sin.
alcohol, smoke, murder, adultary, lies, deceit .....etc

I think it refers to the notion that our life on Earth is only temporary and a preparation for the next life (in heaven). We should live as one preparing for heaven but whilst in this world we should act in accordance with the laws and customs applicable to us.
