I've come across a few website that tell me that if i purchase their book, i will learn "secrets" to training the specific breed of dog i select on the search tab. most of them are called "secret to traing "beagles" that trainers use" and such.
Has anyone ever bought those books? do they work?

The only secret to training a beagle is this: you cannot train a beagle. Well, thats not totally true... you can get them to let you know when they want to go outside, but thats about it. I have a beagle and they are the most stubborn dogs in the world. They will pretty much only listen to you if you give them food. They love food. But don't let that deter you because beagles are the absolute best dogs in the world. Their stubbornness is endearing.

I doubt if they work. Beagles are very hard to train, not because they are stupid, but they don't care if they please their owner or not. They are stubborn and thick headed, that's why I love mine so much. The best dogs ever.
