Time can tell when the suitor will get tired of courting your friend. Let him be. He will tire out soon. He is both stubborn and persistent (both a bad and good quality, if you look at it at a different angle). Eventually he will realize that your friend would never take him back again.

My Opinion: Never turn your back on love. Who knows, maybe its sweeter the second time around. Sometimes relationship don't work for now but after you've been away from your ex, you realize how much you were meant for each other. Maybe the guy realized it. But if your friend would never accept him back, then their relationship is up to only that part because it takes two to make a relationship work.

Take care and God bless ^_^

It's called a restraining order. I know that sounds severe, but if she has consistently asked this guy to back off, and he doesn't then it's harrassment. Getting a restraining order doesn't mean the guy will go to jail. He'll only go to jail if he disobeys it.

You say this is a serious thing.... and I don't know how old she is or how old the guy is, but this kind of thing can really affect someone's life. Without knowing all the details I'm just assuming he may be following her to work or showing up to places that he's not invited or wanted. He may be calling all hours of the night....among many other things.

And another thing, he's not a suitor, he's a stalker. How can one guarantee that this stalker won't get physical and hurt your friend? I can tell you from experience that this can get really bad. Have her go file a report with the police and then ask for the order. The order won't guarantee that he'll stay away, but at least she'll have some help getting rid of him. If he violates the order he will go to jail. If anything were to happen to her, Lord forbid, then there will also be record that he was ordered to stay away from her.

I'll stop rambling, but if this is as serious as you say, don't wait.
