It depends on whether you are a nervous little p*ssy or not.

Animals eat sh*t all of the time that most humans would never touch, but that is because animals have never had the awareness to know that they are eating nasty sh*t so they don't fret themselves into sickness.

I spend a lot of time in the backcountry and even in the front country of national parks, and rangers, backcountry magazines, the average hiker, etc. etc. etc. is obsessed with giardia and other impurities in surface water but I drink water from lakes, rivers, creeks, barely running streams, etc. etc. etc. and I have never gotten sick.

On the other hand I have known people to get sick from just a little unfiltered water dripping into their bottle or whatever.

Why? Its because they are p*ssies.

I say eat the worm and the lettuce and don't be such a baby!

Eat the lettuce, not the worm.

You can still eat the lettuce.
My brother, the entomologist (that's a person who studies bugs) says there is no such thing as a bug-free lettuce. You will always find something in it.

I would wash the lettuce before you eat it. Do not eat the work unless you add the right spices.
