I once traveled with a guy who both walked and talked in his sleep. The first time I saw it happen we were in a motel room in New Mexico. For no good reason, I woke up about 2am to find the bathroom light on, and I could hear Dub in the shower. I thought it was odd, but, if that's what he wanted to do, it was his business. I dozed back off, and in a few minutes Dub was waking me up, sitting on the edge of his bed dressed in his boxer shorts, a pair of cowboy boots, and his hat, telling me it was time to get up. He said that while I was getting dressed, he'd call the office for our itinerary. That's when I realized he was sound asleep. It took a minute, but it finally occurred to me to say to him that I'd already called the office and been told we had the day off. He quietly lay back down and closed his eyes. The next morning he know nothing about the episode.
