what message did he celebrate and assert as being right for everyone?
Can you answer this without cutting, pasting, and rotely reciting Bible text?

Spike, maybe I am collecting THOUGHTS to compare and/or integrate with my own. Maybe I want to take advantage of rich ideas and articulations that others may wish to share.

None, he said he came to divide mother from daughter, father from son. His message was clear and specific. He knew there would be great multitudes who would claim to speak in his name, but don't. His message would only be fully excepted by very few, comparatively. If one person accepts it, while his/her whole family does not, it is important that at least the one did. Jesus didn't come too bring everyone under one banner, but to present a message, and let people decide if they accept it or not. We have the choice of free will, to either follow his teaching as a whole, and completely, or not. We have the free will to convince ourselves that doing just enough is all it takes. But, Moses learned that it doesn't. when he found himself denied access to the Promise Land for making just one mistake.

Love your neighbor as yourself. I think this illustrates the main principle of evolution. If a person can understand this concept, and perform it, they will become pure love. If you can look at all people with compassion and genuine love, you will raise yourself to a higher level of evolution.
If you think about it, if this concept is applied by everyone, there would be no more "evil" in this world. At the very least, if the majority applied this, all selfish/self-serving people would fade away because they would feel out of place in such a tolerant population.

are you sincerely looking for a straight answer or are you just playing to your own lack of understanding and sense of humor? it amazes me that people keep asking questions about what Christ said and did, yet are completely offended if someone would DARE to use anything from the Bible in their response...especially when they mention "the Gospel"...if you were to ask a question about Windows, would you forbid anyone from using anything Bill Gates has said or written? here's the message that Christ brought, in a form simple enough for you to understand: He said 'I am the way, the truth, and the life. no one comes to the Father except thru Me' .

the gospel was.turn the other cheek, dont repay evil with evil, turn from 'sin', love your neighbour as you love yourself, dont fear death, dont worry so much, the law of the land is not to have dominion over men, men are to have dominion over the laws, sell what you have and share it with each other, dont fear death, God shines on both the good and the bad, be tolerant, kind, feed the hungry, cloth the clothless, visit people in prisons and in hospitals, share your life with others, there is no greater love than sacrificing your life for another, the kingdom of God is within all of us,
I dont think jesus ever said, "pray the sinners prayer, believe i died for your sins and you will be washed clean, pay 10% of your wage, dont ask too many questions, believe in the spirit realm...otherwise you will burn in hell for all eternity"
I think the words are great(well most of them)
however
I dont think jesus ever existed.
merry christmass

Gospel means Good News or Good Tidings.
The good news is that Jesus took our punishment and redeemed (buy back) us from eternal death. Now God does not judge us (believer) based on our works / effort BUT based on the finished, perfect work of Jesus.

We don't know. Especially the gospels were so intensively rewritten and edited in the first few centuries AD that we don't have a clue about their original text or context.
