Yes, you can get intestinal worms from your cat....children often get them because they dont wash thier hands, you do not need to go to the doctor for treatment any worm medication can be bought over the counter at your local pharmacy. Just ask the pharmacist. My little sister had to be treated a while ago, and we all took the meds too just to be safe as worms are spread easily.

Yes, you can get worms from your kitten, but unlikely unless you have handled the feces. But you need to take it to a vet to determine the type of worms. And don't buy the stuff at the pet store, they usually only do one type of worm and can be too strong for a kitten and kill it.

do not worry the chance of you getting worms from your cat is minimal at best. if you saw the worms in its poop the are tape worms and they get then from fleas. go on vacation have fun and don't worry by the time you get back bf will have take new kitty to vet and problem will be solved.

You can get an over the counter de-wormer at Wal-Mart, etc. that works OK. The trick is to identify the right kind of worm.
Worms won't kill a cat...or you...for at least a very long time. Go on your vacation and take care of it when you get back.
(Viet Nam has doctors too...if push comes to shove.)

People usually don't get worms from either cats or dogs. I wouldn't worry if I were you.

most kittens have worms, if they have round worms, you need to get rid of them, if they are tape worms,,, they aren't that much a problem unless they get out of hand. you probly won;t be able to treat your kitten for worms until it is older
