Confidence is being sure of yourself...

Conceit is being sure you're better than everyone else.

Conceit is like ********* in a way. they are trying to make up for thier insecurities. If you are confident you don't need to prove it to anyone. It's much more sublte than conceit. If they think you are conceited maybe they wish that they had your confidence and are trying to take you down a peg. I think that you should enjoy your confidence. I know that I could use some right about now. Do you have any to share? :)

There is such thing as being overly confident. Confidence is when you feel good about yourself, and you are secure with who you are and how you look.
Being conceited means you think you are above everyone else.
Big difference! Maybe you need to take a look at how you have been acting and see if your friends have reason to think you have a big head!

Who cares what people think they are just jealous. You sound so much like me.You can have all the confidence in the world that doesn't make you conceited. There are so many haters out there that will find any reason to try to bring you down.Don't let them would you rather be writing that you self esteeme is low etc.No so just take that negative vibe and make that positive.I think that people thinking that I'm conceited would flatter me more. They are just giving me more to think about as far as thinking look these people just love me,lol.

There's a fine line. Often, insecure people see confident people as conceited.

If you know you know how to do something -- then you are confident.

If you tell other people that you know you know how to do something -- then you are conceited.

If you are truly confident, then you don't need to tell anyone that you are confident. In fact, you will get a lot farther in life if you don't.

Some people think it's better to act like you might not succeed and then succeed than it is to act like you will succeed before you actually do.

And some people don't think it matters.

NO THERE IS A DIFFERENCE. CONFIDENCE IS A REALLY GOOD ATTRIBUTE TO HAVE BECAUSE IT MEANS THAT YOU ARE SURE OF YOURSELF. BUT ONE THAT IS CONCEITED THINKS THEY ARE BETTER THEN EVERYONE ELSE. SO YOU GO BOY AND BE CONFIDENT ALL YOU WANT, AND WHO CARES WHAT EVERYONE ELSE SAYS.

confidence is feeling good about yourself and your capabilities. conceit is telling everybody how great you are. You don't have to tell everyone how wonderful you are. If it is true they will see it for themselves.
