AN UNUSUAL SANDWICH FILLING.?

Has anyone out there ever made a sandwich, using a 'Jock pie' as the filling?

(A 'Jock Pie' is a Scotch Mutton Pie.)

Tell us about any other unusual fillings that you've used in a sandwich.

lamb pie is better mutton is a old sheep
but best sandwich filling is ham/turkey/onion/beetroot/cheese/tomato sauce/Vegemite

I worked with a Scot who used to slice up bits of choc onto jam butties. He was also a dab hand at deep fried Mars Bar and could consume TWO Kendal Mint Cakes. You could say he had a sweet tooth.

I went through a (short) phase of eating marmalade and custard cream biscuit sandwiches. The sweetness, tanginess and crunchiness merged with the pulpiness of the white bread.

Salad cream and pork pie is great, also beetroot and cheese is special. Yummy!!!

I haven't had anything unusual. I have had an Austrailian friend that used Vegimite. That stuff is nasty.

Here are two separate fillings.

Beetroot and mayonaise .

Apple,celery and grated cheese.
