When I 'justify' two or more paragraphs on a page by clicking Ctrl+J, all paragraphs become justified. But last lines of each paragraph contains only few characters and they get separated and there is a huge margin among them which looks bad. When I try to Ctrl+L last line only, the entire paragraph is formatted on Ctrl+L .

How to 'justify' each paragraph while last line is formatted on Ctrl+L?

Type in a short paragraph and then set up the paragraph style the way you like it to appear. You can make it anything at all. I usually set the style of the first paragraph by hand.. i.e., I don’t do anything to it until after I’ve gotten to the final period and then I indent and highlight all but the last line - select justify - and move on. I leave the last line alone; it will take care of itself… the default is flush left and that's what it does... and that's exactly what I want it to do.

But then, make life easy on yourself ... go to the top menu... and set up the style of everything that follows by selecting "format" and then "style." You'll get a box... you'll see "normal paragraph" and you'll have a little picture of what your paragraph looks like... select it if it's okay... go back and change it if it isn't.

What I generally do after that is to go back to my work and highlight the whole thing again… this time, however, I also press enter before I highlight and I make sure to include the blank line after my paragraph. Now, when I've highlighted, (selected,) the finished appearance of everything that I want -- indent, justified lines up to the last, unjustified last line and a blank line between paragraphs -- I can check the style again through the menu. If it looks good... I'm home free. Everything that follows will look like the style I've decided to use.

Got it? It ought to be a breeze from here on. Now you’re ready to type your little fingers to the bone and not worry that it won't look right when you're done.

no need for Ctrl+L, imo the prb is with the formatting option of the font. as u said that the last lines of each para get separated. first select the paras and go to format menu -> select character spacing tab-> check whether u have given any change to the expanded / condensed options they should be normal (they should not be like tight, very tight, loose, very loose) only normal.) now justify the paras. be sure that u have hit the enter key after the last line of the first para. i hope this solves ur problem. if so, kindly give me 10 pts as i will go to 2nd level. thanks in advance. no

you need to select the paragraphs that you want justified. then use your short-cut key command i.e. ctrl+j to justify them. select them by hold the left mouse button down and dragging the cursor over the desired paragraphs then release. they should be highlighted now, once highlighted use ctrl+j to justify them.
