Back ache stomach pains even your legs can hurt. My wife suffered from a bad gul blatter for years and finally had it removed. It was done as out patient surgery she was home the same day and back to work within a week. The only regret she has is that she didn't do it sooner.

You might be better off without the surgery. Everyone I know who has had it is not doing better than they were before the surgery.
