It's been over a year since he broke up the relationship (said he needed to find himself). He's been trying to win me back very slowly.. but ive been very resistive and I mean angrily resistant. From the very start I've made it clear to him to "leave me alone". It's hard to come face to face with him especially that I still love him but I have no plans to return to the relationship anymore. It was enough that he gave me up. Now, eventhough I've been hiding from him and changed my numbers it seems that i can't get away because he's back with the band (our church band). He promised to be just a friend as long as i would just try to talk to him. I want to make sure that it's just friendship he wants and he's not just trying to take me back "slowly". I want to try to control myself before throwing angry words at him again to leave me alone. So what are the signs that I should watch out for that he's not keeping what he promised to be just a friend? that he has plans to pursue me back?

Want to know how to get your ex back? Change yourself. Don't worry about changing other people, worry about changing yourself. Go to https://tr.im/yJuWL

Once you do that then you can start to worry about getting back together with your ex, other wise you will find that you are fighting about all the same things and getting no where. Do what it takes and I promise things will work out in your favor.

The funny thing is I came to the realization that I had to change a little too late. After I was kicked out and after I was about to lose the only things that truly mattered to me - her love. A funny thing happens when we truly love someone and lose them. We do what ever it takes to get them back. For me I had to drop bad habits that had caused not only our relationship to sour but practically every other relationship I had had in the past. Not only with women, but with friends, co-workers, family, you name it.

Which is why I say to you as my ex at the time said to me, the only thing you can do is change yourself. Work on yourself and improve on the person that you already are. Drop the negative things in your life that don't belong there and you will see all of your relationships start to take off to new heights.

Tell him that it hurts too much to be friends. He let you go.
And it's making you frustrated that he can't take you
seriously.

... Call me crazy... but once a person is intimate, those memories
are still there. I mean you've seen eachother naked. There's a
chance the guy wants to have sex on a more casual level. Don't
fall for it.

If you tell him to leave you alone. He should. You are entitled to time to heal. If he wants to start things up again... who cares. If you don't want that to happen, it won't. He needs to give you space to find yourself. (And another guy)
