Love at first sight is when a person feels romantic passion for a complete stranger upon his or her initial encounter with the stranger. The term can be used casually to refer to a mere sexual attraction or crush, but it usually refers to actually falling in love with someone literally the very first time one sees him or her, along with the deep desire to have an intimate relationship with that person. The stranger may or may not be aware that the other person has any such notion, and may not even be aware of the other person's presence (such as in a crowded place). Sometimes two people experience this phenomenon towards each other at the same time, usually when their eyes meet. See also love.
Frequency of the phenomenon
Although love at first sight is portrayed in many forms of literature, the frequency of this emotional feeling towards another occurring in reality has somewhat dwindled in the modern day era. In extremely rare circumstances does a person fall in love with another at first sight. The person in question may have no understanding of the person's personality and sentimant towards them. It would break the admirer's heart to find out that the person who they admire may be self-centered or careless towards other people. The majority of modern day society would prefer to develop a friendly relationship with the admired person before falling in love with the admired person in question.

I agree that all couples fall in love at different rates, and it is up to them to decide when they feel comfortable saying those three little words that can forever change a person's life. As to your question 'Why is it...', the reason that people ask that is because they are nosey and want to be able to judge others by their standards. Have a good day/night.

yes...you are totally right...love is something every person understands in their one way..the "love" you have for a guy you've been with for only 2 weeks isn't as powerfull as the one you have for a guy you've been for 2 years but you can still feel something for him.

why. because they don't have it!
what is love?depends on who you're asking!
what is more important? what you think or what they think?
to me, my heart has the answer, not someone elses opinion.
