Has anyone driven from Vienna to Prague before? Realistically, how long does it take?

I have not done it myself but here is some interesting stuff I found:

NY - USA.

I've been told it takes about 4 hours and scenic route (longer)

I'd include a stop in Cesky Krumlov. Lovely little town to walk around in; looks like a fairytale town in some ways. It's been a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1992.

I've driven from Vienna to Prague (and back again) on a weekend trip. It is a pretty and easy drive. Road signs were easy to follow. This was ages ago, but one thing I distinctly recall is that it was challenging to find gas stations enroute. In case this is still the situation, you might want to make sure that you leave both Vienna and Prague with a full tank.

Good Luck!

Is that by car or horse cart?
