I am in the Army National Guard, and my mother is very proud of me. I would check on a Family Support Group. If your son's unit doesn't have one, then I would contact the state HQ because they can put you in contact with the State Family Readiness Coordinator. They are about the most important and influential group for a mother to get involved with.

NO, I have a daughter on Active Duty in the Army and a son in the Army Reserves. I am in the process of re-enlisting to go into the Guard myself though, if that helps. (Entry date of Aug 24 if everything goes as planned).

Yes - I am sure that many people have sons in the Armed National Guard.

Whether they visit this site of not is another matter.
