Hi all. I am from Iran. When I was only six, I asked my mother who is God? And she told me you would understand when you grow up. The same night I asked God to reveal himself to me! And I saw a strange dream: I was walking towards an open window. Outside was a wonderful view. I saw a white bright light (much more brilliant than the sun) it was in the center and was shining. And it was surrounded by a beautiful red light (a beautiful color between red and pink) and small white lights (similar to clouds) were circling around the central white light. Suddenly I heard a soft male voice (a kind voice) that told me: I am God. All humans must obey me.
And I guess I woke up at once. I told my dream to my mother and she told me: see how kind is God? He made your wish because you are an innocent, pure child (all children are pure). Even prophets (no one in fact) could not dream of God. So it is very strange for me. But I have heard that once God took prophet Mohammad’s soul to the same place that I dreamed of. That is where we call “Arsh Ala” which is close in meaning to “supreme place”. I know that saying what God is like is a mortal sin but I only told you my dream. And I know that it is impossible to see God. What do you think? Do you think my dream was true? Regarding that as a six-year-old child I had no imaginations of God. I mean if it was not true then why did not I dream a human or something other than a wonderful view?

I don't believe you dream proves anything.

Believe in God, if you will, and do so with all your intelligence. If your dream has inspired you, okay, so be it. But, a dream is a dream, and not proof of anything.

Satan shines as angel of light as it is said in the Bible.

Mind is a trick thing. Sometimes, you more you think about it, the more you will subconsciously project that in your dream.

No one indeed has seen God. In you case, that bright light in your dream could be your sub-conscience about something that you believe. It lurks into your mind and make you believe that is God. But, it could be from evil spirit. I do not want to jump to conclusion about its truth. However, most likely your dram about God is not really God. It is just a mind activity played by you unconsciously.

I think that the dream manifested a vision of God as you know him. I also think that because of your Muslim faith (I assume you are Muslim, being from Iran) your vision was represented as a powerful white light. No graven images of people or animals.

I don't think describing this vision is a sin for you; you are not saying what God is like, but rather what God seemed to be like in a dream. I think the dream gives you a clue what God is like, but not the whole of God.

What a beautiful dream! I think this dream is a real blessing for you. Thanks for sharing and may Allah's blessings be upon you.

Children are very close to Heavenly Father (God). You were asking about God to your mother and were given a dream as an answer that God is real and alive.

It is possible to see God. Many prophets have seen God. Joseph Smith, in 1820 as a young boy of 15 years old prayed to God to find out if any of the Churches were true.....God and his son Jesus Christ appeared to him and told him that none of them were true. Joseph was told to bring the Church of Jesus Christ back to this earth.

This information is in the Book of Mormon. I belong to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints which Joseph Smith come to bring about. I know that Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ live and that the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints is true. I pray that you will open your heart to these teachings.
