well im 12 and i reckon its fine aslong as they agree with it ok maybe nines a little young but 12 or 13 is better, personally i work at my parents surgery as a receptionist and i think its ok
and if your ten i think you should wait until your twelve at least, working is alright but its hard work and working for a few hours straight is really tiresome. i suggest if you want to buy something nag ur parents until they buy it for u or just do some extra chores (if you really want it) and i kno working at a check out seems really easy but its really complex you have to learn how to work the computer and put stuff on shelves and lift heavy crates and heaps of other stuff and bosses are less likely to hire you cos of that and costomers usually feel wierd about being served by a kid.

When I was 10 I would go to my neighbors and ask them what I could do to earn some money. I would water plants, walk dogs, pick weeds, stack stuff, throw things away, and they would pay me a lot because they thought is was nice. Try that. Don't work yet, because someday you'll have to work for the rest of your life and wished you didn't have to work and you'll look back at when you were 10 and wonder why you wanted to work. Trust me!

only for a few hours a day because you need to learn more before you go to work. It's a law you have to be older because people used to force young people to work in sweat shops a while back.
