What's a nice route to take if touring through Ireland, and you want to see as much as possible?

You can't really go too far wrong if you take a tour around the Irish coast. Most of the hilly terrain in Ireland is near the coast, while the flatter regions are in the centre of the country.

I would recommend travelling south to Wexford or Rosslare via the Wicklow Mountains (Roundwood, The Sally Gap, Lough Dan, Glendalough, Glenmalure), visiting Johnstown Castle or the Ferrycarrig centre in Wexford. Then travelling to Waterford again via the southern coast road - travelling to Hook Head and Duncannon bay and taking the ferry over to Passage East. Waterford is the location of the Waterford Crystal factory. You can then take another coast road to Dungarvan via Tramore, and then travel on to Cork taking a stop off in the seaside towns of Ardmore, Youghal and Ballycotton. In Cork take a good trip around the harbour, stopping off in Cobh to see the Titanic exhibition. There is another coast road from Kinsale in Cork all the way down to Clonakilty, and you can then go to Skibbereen, Baltimore and Mizen Head from here. From here you can go to Killarney via Kenmare in Kerry- the views are stunning. From Killarney take a trip around the Ring of Kerry and the Dingle Peninsula, and you can also then cross over into County Clare via a ferry. Clare sports the Burren and the cliffs of Moher, and from there you can go to Galway and enjoy one of the most vibrant cities in Ireland. North-west of Galway is Clifden in Connemara, and further north is Killary Harbour and Westport in Co. Mayo. If you have time you should explore more of Mayo, but if not, head towards Sligo and Donegal. From Donegal you are within easy reach of Northern Ireland: the Giants Causeway, the Carrig-a-rede rope bridge and the Glens of Antrim. You can take in Belfast on the way down (another vibrant city if ever there was), and the coast road down through Newcastle Co. Down is well worth taking. Finally, on your way down to Dublin, don't miss stopping off at Newgrange and Tara.

Whew! Now, if you can get all that in during one journey you will be doing well!

It all depends how much time you have and also your buget. l myself would recommend a Paddy wagans tower or the tir na nog tours.They have 3 day tours 5 day and 10 day tours.They are a good price.They start in Dublin.They go to all parts of Ireland. The price includes your bus fare and your accomadation, and your entrance fees into the places they take you to see.l myself love the Munster countys.Clare is wonderful and kerry is Fab. Killarney in Kerry is a great place to let your hair down at night, and a grat place to walk around and to walk up mountains during the day. Hope you have a grand time there.

Start in the Northwest and drive along the western coast, and {if you are a brave driver} go on the ring of Kerry, its very beautiful, but its made up of very,very narrow roads on cliffs. Visit the Cliffs of Moher-go through Limerick, Shannon, Cork and drive along the souther coast and then to Dublin! I was so happy with the western coast I never even went to Dublin, I didnt need it!

I did the paddy wagon tour and it was great, cheap too, but if you do that don't go to the irish dancing thing, i was told it was crapp. I didn't go. But you have to go to Donegal it is amazing. The north is also nice ie. Belfast and Derry (not lodonderry) alot of people are put off by it, but I love it...
