I've been with my lady 7 months almost and we've had no problems at all. We see eachother all we can, we don't argue and both of families like both of us. Thing is, from the start till now I've had times when I've thought "man, I really love this girl" but alot of the time I can't feel "the love" at all. Am I so in love it's become like a pair of comfortable slippers I can no longer feel on my feet? Or did I never love this girl and never will...it's just now and again that she endears herself to me?

Love isn't something you define...love is something that comes from knowing someone and caring about that person. By this I mean, you may think you love her, but do you actions speak louder than your words. Do you do things for her without her having to ask you? Are you nice to her just because you like to see her smile? Do you do things you normally wouldn't do just because you know it makes her happy? Things like these, where you are doing things in hopes to see her smile, make her laugh and keep her happy are the signs that you have fallen in love. Love isn't something like running in the fields screaming "I love her!" It's more about how you show your love...and if you show it does it make you happy to know that you made her happy? If yes, then there you go...you are feeling the love...it's just in a different form than what you thought or think love feels like. (BTW what do you think love is suppose to feel like).

Sometimes, in some relationships things just happen so naturally and flow so smoothly that you don't feel that rush or thrill people keep boasting about in regards to love. You are not a teenager anymore, you are a man who cares about a woman, and since your hormones are more in sync with your body, you don't necessarily have to feel the flightiness of a teenager in love...it is a more mature feeling...and that is very different.

This does not sound like you are in love. It sounds like you care deeply for her as a friend. This can make a good marriage, but if you are young, I am concerned that you will find someone who brings out the passion in you, and you will leave her for the other woman. Or you might cheat on her, ruining your relationship. If you've only been together 7 months, you should not be feeling like the passion is gone so fast. This is a difficult situation, since she will be hurt if you leave her now, and she will be hurt if you leave her later. If you stay, you may feel you were cheated out of a passionate relationship, and things may deteriorate after a while. In any case, if you are unsure, you should give it more time and see how you feel in 6 months or a year.

perhaps the love you felt was attraction and that attraction has become too comfortable that you feel as if your relationship has become boring. pheromones are chemically how people are attracted to each other and i've heard that the pheromones that cause attraction between two people disintegrate after a certain amount of time. perhaps it's just a dry spell between you two. this happens all the time between couples. don't worry about it.

good luck!!!

Wow...sounds like me.
I try to look back and remember all those times I said "wow, I love this guy". It usually helps me realize what have I got to loose...love doesn't happen over night, and you should always remember as long as your happy, you have nothing to loose...My friends tell me to stop worrying about how much I love him or don't love him...They see that i'm happy, and that's all that matters.

you still love her, and she still loves you.just like you said about the slippers....you've reached a point where your too comfortable.just try not to evaluate or rate the level of love, just appreciate the fact that you love one another and all will be fine.

YOUR THE ONLY PERSON THAT CAN REALLY TELL IF YOU LOVE SOMEONE. YOU KNOW DEEP DOWN WHAT YOUR FEELINGS ARE. IT COULD BE JUST LIKE YOU SAID ITS SO COMFORTABLE THAT YOU CANT FEEL IT. OR MAYBE YOU KNOW YOU DONT LOVE HER BUT YOUR TRYING SO HARD TO.

YOU KNOW THE TRUTH MAYBE YOU JUST DONT WANT IT TO BE THE TRUTH.

GOOD LUCK I HOPE EVERYTHING TURNS OUT WELL!!
