after extracting my lower left first premolar my lymph node got swollen & it never went back to its normal size ever since, may be because i still have my braces on, so is there any possibility that it will heal after i take them off after one more year, which makes a total of three years treatment.

A swollen lymph node indicates a process of fighting an infection.. may want to find out where it is and get it taken care of.

Lymph nodes are palpable (can b felt) in most pple. wat matters is if it is tender and swollen n painful or is it not painful but indurated (hard and does not move). if its only palpable, thn it is normal. if it is tender n u feel pain, there is ongoing infection. if it is hard n indurated n not causing any pain, thn it could b cancerous. next time u visit ur dentist, ask ur dentist to palpate n see ur lymph nodes. ur dentist would be able to explain to u ur situation better. dont come to a conclusion on ur own as u r not a dental professional n u may b drawing the wrong conclusion. so confirm ur situation with ur orthodontist.
