Obviously you have not researched this topic. Why don't you just do this one thing... read the entire new testament, and then come back and rephrase your question?

I am of the opionion that Jesus was a great man and a phrophet. He spread the word of the ONE God. But he is only the son of God as we are all sons and daughters of God. I don't think he actually came back to life, and if you believe he did and he was a God you are actually not reading the Bible correctly and are worshiping a false God! As Jesus is quoted saying he is a servant of God and not to worship him but worship God. This is what he offers as salvation "the belief in God".
There is actually some interesting evidance that Jesus wasn't crucified and he left to live in Japan with his wife and brother, and that early Christian leaders embellished Jesus to gain followers, power, and control. Read some legends about Zeus, sounds alot like Jesus, Apollo too.

Jesus Christ is an actual, historically supported person who lived on earth over two thousand years ago. Do you think everyone in history is "a load"...or do you just want to know about Jesus? We know Caesar was real, too. Do you wish to debate his existence, also? Or are you one of those, I don't see it...so it isn't there types? Okay...listen to me carefully..."I am not here, you can't see me, and these words appeared by themselves."

I agree completely with the manfromUtopia. Let them dream.
Think of the alternative, man. Gosh.
Do you really want to wrap your head in a towel and strap C4 to your daughter's chest in the name of religion or do you really care if someone says, "Merry Chritsmas?"
