But I wont change my personality. I think there are a lot of women on Earth and the one I'll choose will apreciate me for who I am and what I stand for.

Girls appreciate romance - KEEP UP THE PRACTICE!!!! Seriously! You are wise to stick to your personality and look for someone who will appreciate the romance!

I think romance is necessary for some women to feel that you care enough to put forth the effort into the relationship by being "romantic." By this I mean, if you set up a candle light dinner, cook the meal yourself, and slow dance with her..and make her feel "special" then it will make her feel like you actually care about her. But, this idea of being romantic doesn't change who you are as an individual...and by this I mean if you are normally not romantic and you will never be romantic unless you are forced to for whatever reason (i.e. Anniversaries and valentine's day).

Now, how does this affect the relationship...well many women who start out with mr. romantic hope to see him around 24/7...even after the honeymoon phase is over...but that doesn't always happen...and so it leads to conflicts because some women only see the side that is romantic and not the individual as a whole....eventually causing the relationship to fall apart...because she didn't know who you truly were.

Now, if you are with a girl, who knows you on the core level...where you are true friends and she knows your personality and you know hers...then if you are occassionally romantic ...it tends to help the situation in the relationship because she can appreciate the fact that even though you may not be a romantic guy, you definitely did put forth the effort and made her feel "special" and therefore she will love you more for who you are, especially when you sprinkle on the romance.

So, to answer your question the key to any good relationship is friendship...if you can be friends first you are more likely to last. Second, if you are already friends and are going to take things up a notch by becoming bf/gf, then eventhough she knows you may not be the romantic type...she will definitely appreciate if you are romantic. Many women want romance, we a biologically wired that way (there is always an exception to the rule), but for whatever reason, even if we know you are not the romantic type and we know that you don't like mushy stuff...it doesn't mean we won't love you for not being romantic. It just means we love you even more for trying to be romantic when you are. Romance is what helps guys get into women's pants anyway...so...think about it...why is romance key to rekindling an old flame? Because romance reminds women that underneath all that stern exterior, there is a man willing to put aside his manlyness in order to make a woman feel loved.

Well since you make up words like "romantical" I think I would find you most annoying.....you don't seem to have a very firm grasp of the English language

Oh, trust me...we appreciate it. It's those immature ones who are self-absorbed who don't. Hang in there, keep being romantic. Trust me, it'll work eventually. (always comment shoes, eyes. Notice little things and always always always....open the door for her).
