TALK to her, and tell her YOUR feelings are changing from friendship to something more.
Maybe she isn't aware of it. But if she IS, and she just wants to stay friends; you need to either accept that or go on down the road. Do NOT "hanker" after something that will never be. Life is too short.

I lost my very best friend in much the same way.
He had told me for years "we can't be anything but friends." ( Ok, I accepted THAT, and things were great for many years....)

BUT---I found out AFTER the "Surprise"----that HIS feelings had changed into love; and he was already making MARRIAGE plans; while I'm still thinking we're "JUST FRIENDS"......because he did NOT tell ME that things were changing !!! SHOCK !!

And NOT a good shock, either. It went downhill from then on....I just couldn't "love" my "big brother/friend" THAT way. We eventually went different ways; and after 31 years; I still miss my friend. I could have never loved him like a wife after all the years of just being "friends"....... what a shame.

Maybe this girl isn't AWARE your feelings have/are changing...so PLEASE, tell her...but also, be prepared to take just friendship, too; if she isn't receptive to something more. Don't lose a good friend...they're hard to find these days.

Good Luck !

you can't make her love you, but you can try to see if she likes you back. Try tickling her, or try to catch a moment of just you two together alone. See what the results are. If she reacts back in a positive way, or stays with you and has fun- she may like you. But she might not. Try to make little events that happen in a relationship, not a friendship. Maybe it'll lead up to something. At some point confess to her. Hope for the best!

you can't make her do anything that she doesn't want for herself, but is she even aware that you love her as more than a friend? or are you positive that YOU even love her as more and not just want to have that connection?

boyfriends and girlfriends are easy to come by, but best friends are not easy to replace. things will change drastically should you guys decide that the whole bf/gf thing doesn't work out for the 2 of you, so tread lightly. make absolutely sure that this will work out best for the situation, because you really don't want to lose a friend this way, especially not your best friend.
