there is nothing much we can do about it.
ever since the 1970s, there had been much use of CFCs (chlorofluorocarbons).. after findings about how destructive these products are, several countries signed the Montreal Protocol (1989) which bans the use of CFCs. CFCs decompose at high altitudes due to sunlight, into chlorine, fluorine and carbon..
A single chlorine atom would keep on destroying ozone for up to two years (the time scale for transport back down to the troposphere) were it not for reactions that remove them from this cycle by forming reservoir species such as hydrochloric acid (HCl) and chlorine nitrate (ClONO2. On a per atom basis, bromine is even more efficient than chlorine at destroying ozone, but there is much less bromine in the atmosphere at present. As a result, both chlorine and bromine contribute significantly to the overall ozone depletion.

Yes but, there is so much evidence that this and global warming is all apart of a event cycle.
There is signs that show that there has been at least 2 known global warnings in the past. One has been considered as the possible cause of the last great extinction of the large mammals.
I'm not saying that man doesn't influence it, but I believe we give more credit to ourselves and not to mother nature.
There has been much speculation that the o-zone as well has fluctuated throughout the ages.
The poles have switched in the past and some say it could happen again. When it does, I'm wondering how they will attribute it to mans carelessness. Maybe its from to many overweight people in the Americas.

Get with the program, this has been going on for a long time man. It will continue far after were gone and has been going since before we existed...just like the radiation of the A Bomb...we live in the radiation today and the earth will live with it for thousands if not millions of years due to the chemical half lifes...

As long as cretins like Jimmy Pete and TD have such frivolous attitudes about it, we won't worry too much about the ozone layer being depleted, or global warming, or toxic poisons leaching from overfilled landfills.
After all, it might not affect the Earth for years, decades, even centuries! Nothing for US to worry about - so let's just go on wasting and squandering the world away so that our great-great-great grandchildren will have to wear gas masks to breathe, and won't be able to find pure drinking water.
I've got a deal for Jimmy Pete and TD: why don't you send me ALL of your money and I'll promise to waste it as quickly as I possibly can, squandering it without any regard to your financial future. Then, when it's all gone, I'll say, "Gee, sorry guys...but I WAS MORE IMPORTANT!"
The ozone layer is being depleted, and every citizen of every country on Earth needs to help do something about it. Global warming is a threat to our way of life, and every citizen of every country on Earth needs to help do something about it. If we continue to neglect the delicate ecological balance between man, plants, and all other animals, our environment will cease to exist as Nature intended - and the result will be the annihilation of all species.
But, it's easier to live in a disposable society where we aren't required to REturn, REuse, and REcycle; where we can live without regard for our future descendants, and without giving a tinker's damn about all of Earth's other species as long as WE have all the creature comforts WE want. -RKO-

Have faith! The ozone layer is slowly repairing itself. The less fossil fuels we use the faster the healing.

It is really very serious issue. We should reduce the amount of CO2 gas produced in the world. )Reduce the use of CFC. Try to grow more plants. Reduce explosions(wars) and above all we should convince the super powers that WAR IS NOT SOLUTION..... it only brings destruction.
