adding oil to pancake batter turns it into waffle batter.
pancakes will turn out greasy and tough. but waffles however will turn out perfect!

you don't need to add oil to pancake batter, but you can use oil when making pancakes.... half teaspoon of oil in the pan.add serving of pancake . and cover..when you see holes then turn the other side and with low heat... it will rise naturally...
it would be greasy if you put much oil,,you can try the spray oil...

It's not advisable if it's NOT in the recipe.. why would you want to add oil to the pancake mix?

No, but the pancake would be more greasy and i believe may affect the appearance taste

No it will not. The pancake will be very oily. & i think you will be fat in 1 week's time.

baking powder makes things rise. oil will make it taste greasy. what is it u are trying to do? :)
